Hello everybody! Solstice Celebration & Happy Holidays to all! In honor of the season (and to fly in the face of corporate marketing) we're running a BEFORE Christmas sale beginning at 8am on December 21st through 11pm on December 27th. If you haven't already downloaded a digital copy of Teachings of An Outlaw Witch, Amazon will be offering it for a dollar ($0.99) from 8am on the Solstice through noon on Christmas day, at which point it moves to two dollars ($1.99) until 11pm on December 27th.  This is still a significant discount from the $4.99 list price, however, we recommend not waiting and receiving the best savings before Christmas. Summer Birthday Giveaway

Crystal Corner

This week's Crystal recommendation is Sodalite. It's is a wonderful stone, one I often give to clients because its energetic properties encourage erasing patterns that no longer serve. It also promotes clear and heartfelt communication. So, the next time you feel caught in one of those seemingly endless mental loops, or you need to express yourself clearly, try working with Sodalite.

It's been a busy and exciting week for our family with birthdays, graduations and anniversaries, not to mention catching up with good friends. Today's stone, Carnelian, is the perfect complement to our joie de vie! It's considered the fertility stone and encourages fertility of the body, mind, and spirit. Use it for Sacral chakra work and be open to new and creative possibilities.

Today's a wonderful day to work with earth energy, and Red Jasper is the perfect stone. With its rich, deep red color, the stone is often associated with the Root Chakra and stamina. It's also used for work regarding basic survival in the mundane world by encouraging grounding. Whether your intent is increased energy or simply grounding and gaining perspective, Red Jasper is a wonderful stone to add to your collection.

This week's post is a day behind because of a very special birthday! Okay, back on track. We're focusing on the calming energy of Moonstone for the week. Often considered the Goddess Stone, the properties of moonstone encourage spiritual centering. Because of its positive and gently protective energy, this is an excellent stone to keep with you if you travel. Tumbled moonstone is smooth and often opalescent. It can make a wonderful worry stone, and is an excellent addition to your collection.

Hopefully, you're working with your stones and becoming familiar with earth energy. We've worked with Onyx and Orange Calcite so far. This week we're focusing on Green Aventurine. For work in the spiritual realm, this is a great stone to carry with you as a reminder of universal love. Use it to work on Heart Chakra issues. It's also associated with soothing, calming energy. For work in the material world, it can be used as a talisman for bringing abundance and prosperity into our lives.

This week we're working with the energy of Orange Calcite. This is a stone that is excellent for working with Sacral Chakra issues. Use the energy to focus on matters of intimacy and sexuality as well as for creativity and projects you're passionate about.

Working with earth energy can be a calming and healing experience. A great way to become familiar with elemental energy is to practice with stones. Using your Spirit Stones, or any semi-precious tumbled stones you may have, you can draw a stone a day and work toward incorporating the energy that corresponds with the stone into your consciousness. This week, we're working with Onyx. Use the energy to look within and focus on matters of security and protection. Feed your sense of inner strength and resolve.

I'm Lady Kali Tara, the author of Teachings of an Outlaw Witch: A Primer for the Curious. I'd like to welcome you, and give you an overview of what you can expect. It's really a page on Wiccan Philosophy and how it can and does apply to the world at large. That being said, I welcome topics, ideas, and questions that can be shared and discussed.

Do you have to be Wiccan to read, participate in and enjoy our discussions? Absolutely not. I welcome diversity and the exchange of ideas. I only ask that all exchanges are respectful and polite. We don't have to agree, but we don't need to be aggro either.

When we're not exchanging ideas, I'll have different announcements and posts about what's going on in the world of the outlaw witch. So, that being said, I ask for your participation and your patience. This is all pretty new, and an experiment that I hope will turn out to be a magickal experience. Please share your feedback and let's make this a page you look forward to visiting. Let's make it something of your own.
